USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 Aircraft Carrier Exhibit, Pictures and Stories. |
Taking a cruise on an aircraft carrier like the USS Kitty Hawk is one of the greatest things that you can ever do in your life. Through these Kitty Hawk pages and Website, I have met many of my old friends and have made many new friends. I have heard stories from people who served in all of the Armed Forces of the United States and even other countries. Many of them were career military men and women, some became business owners and others furthered their education by getting an executive MBA for example or other degrees. I have talked to everyone from the Seaman Recruit to Ship and Squadron Commanders and even Base Commanders. Once you were in the US Navy, you will always have friends from all over the world, friends that your friends forever. All I can say is that it is absolutely fantastic. If you want to have a great time, learn the latest technologies and meet the best of the best people in the world. Join the US Armed Forces, it's the best thing that I have ever done. |

Banker proposes bringing USS Kitty Hawk to Wilmington.
The USS Kitty Hawk is a long way right now from the state that gave it its name, but a Wilmington banker wants to give it a home here after it's retired. Rick Willetts, who last month proposed anchoring the Kitty Hawk in Wilmington, said this week that it would probably be four to six years before the warship, named for town of Kitty Hawk on the Outer Banks, could be brought here. |
