North Pole Expedition 2002,
Skydiving on the North Pole is the Ultimate Log Book Entry.  You too can join a Skydiving Expedition to the North Pole and have an entry that is way ahead of any D. B. Cooper entry.   With the polar ice cap melting and a reduction in the thickness of the ice on the actual pole, it will only be a couple of years before the opportunity to skydive on the Geographic North Pole is totally gone.

North Pole Travel and Global Warming, What it Means to You

With the Skydivers almost on the ground, the taller Joy has her feet much lower than Mikhail, so she is going to be doing the landing first on the Geographic North Pole.

The North Pole jump is about 5000 feet and temperatures are about -25 degrees F.   It's not so bad because the temperature in the helicopter is so high that all of the skydivers are totally heat saturated and the cold is not even noticeable.  This jump makes the Ultimate Skydiving Log Book Entry.  We have many skydivers every year and on almost every jump, there is a new record being set.  In 2002 Thomas Trautman made the first Wing Suit Jump over the North Pole.  He told me that it was just great.  With the wing suit, Thomas literally flew around the entire earth crossing every degree of longitude several times making Thomas the first person to fly around the world in a wingsuit.  Interesting, isn't it!  But it's true.  So far, to the best of my knowledge there has never been a tube jumper over the pole.
