Mikhail Rybochkin, Joy Trent and Sergey Insarov practice for the Joy's first tandem parachute jump over the North Pole. 

Joy said that she had one tandem jump before so she has done this before.  Now, however, she is going to take the big step.  A jump from five thousand feet over the North Pole.  The temperatures were very low, and the helicopter was flying high, these are the things going through her minds right now. 

In this practice session on the third floor of the Khatanga hotel, Joy was taught how to wear and use the parachute equipment, also, Mikhail gave her lessons on aircraft exit procedures.   It was interesting because Joy is about six inches taller than Mikhail, plus, Joy has exceptionally long legs all of which make a smooth and proper exit more difficult.   Mikhail said that Joy must act like she is trying to kick him in the butt with both heels while she was hanging in the harness as they began to exit the door.   After watching these two practice repeatedly, it looked to me like she was trying to kick him somewhere else.
