The Navy Sparrowhawks were deployed in the Airships U.S.S. Akron and Macon, making them flying aircraft carriers.

The U.S. Navy's miniscule Sparrowhawks operated from dirigibles during the 1930s,  and were among the most colorful fighters of the era. Utilized primarily in conjunction with the U.S.S. Akron and U.S.S. Macon airships, the Sparrowhawks also operated briefly from the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Lexington.

The PT-20 first flew in 1934 and quickly became one of the U.S. military's primary trainers. Typical of Golden Age aircraft, the PT-20 sports an open, tandem cockpit and wheel spats. Detailed plastic kit features raised panel lines and choice of landing gear or floats for included water display base. Includes two pilot figures, choice of markings and 37 pieces. 7" wingspan; assembly required.
