The F-14 's cruise speed is 610 mph and it has a max speed of 1544 mph. This is the military 's second swing wing jet fighter, the first was the F-111. This plane is a 2 place jet fighter and was termed the fleet defender. It first flew on 21 Dec 1970 and had its first west coast fleet deployment on the USS Kitty Hawk, CV-63 in 1977. The a6 prowler is powered by two Pratt & Whitney J-52 jet engines producing 9300 lbs of thrust each producing a total of 18600 lbs of thrust. the EA-6B prowler is 59'10" long, 16' 3" high and has a wing span of 53'. the ea6b prowler has an empty weight of 32,162 lbs and a max weight of 65,000 lbs. It has a cruise speed of 482 mph, a max speed of 658 mph and a max range of 1628 miles.
