With an average speed of 42.58 mph, Orville Wright and Lt. Benjamin Foulois round Shuter's Hill, Alexandria, Virginia just before sundown on July 30, 1909. The dream was being fulfilled as they are seen halfway through the 10-mile course during the final test flight, leading to the first U.S. purchase of a military aeroplane. 750 S/N by artist. 30"x 20" print.
