as the youngest astronaut ever by flying the X-15 to 280,600 feet, more
than 50 miles above the earth's surface in what officially qualifies as

and personally autographed by Maj. Gen. Joe H. Engle. 33½"x 20¾ In April, 1962, the world of aviation was changed forever. The world's
fastest and highest flying air-breathing aircraft was setting new standards
of performance. With extensive use of new materials, the new SR-71/A-12
was the first of its kind to cruise continuously in afterburner at
Mach 3+ and above 85,000 ft. Limited edition of 600, signed and numbered
by the artist, and signed by 8 A-12/YF-12A/SR-71 pilots. 29½"x 22". This dramatic painting depicts the
Rockwell B-1B Lancer performing
its mission as a low-level penetrating bomber. As it approaches the
