Using

Jennifer sings the National Anthem
This girl sings fantastic. While singing the National Anthem
she hit a very high note. I said to myself, "She'll never hit the
next note." I was wrong, Jennifer's voice was not only
beautiful, it had a tremendous dynamic range.
As a member of the Y-I-BET program, it's not that you're the best
singer, it's that you did your best job. And, here Jennifer did her
very best and had everyone's attention.
At these races the kids do more than just sing or say the pledge,
they perform other track functions as well. They sell tickets for
the 50-50 drawing. The pull the winning ticket from the basket.
They help carry the chairs for the announcers stand as well as help clean
the trash when the race is over. Some kids help in the concession
stand and other kids run back and forth between the office and the announcers
stand with messages and information. Running a track is a lot of
work and the kids here are learning about what it takes to put on an event
as complex as this.
This is Y-I-BET on the Youth of America. Because they have
a chance to gain experience at events like this, all over the country. |
