2005 North Pole Exhibit Home

This is a picture of these Husky dogs living in Camp Borneo.   Camp Borneo is located about sixty miles from the Geographic North Pole.  The temperatures in April are typically minus twenty five to minus thirty five degrees Fahrenheit.  Here the dog owner just spread straw out for these dogs to lay on, in previous years, the owner dug out areas for each dog to sleep in then covered the bottom with straw which provided a better living space.
