2005 North Pole Exhibit Home

The ski trip is over and the skiers reached their objective of reaching the Geographical North Pole. Once they are on the north pole the Mi-8 helicopter takes them back to Borneo Base. They call it Borneo Base because they wanted to find a name of a warm place to be used for the base camp, so they called it Borneo Base. The ski trip took ten days and it was an incredible amount of work. Randy showed me his foot after we were in the Longyearbyen hotel and he had one toe that was solid black. This wasn't because of the cold, it was because of the extreme amount of work that he had to go through. So, this is the end of the North Pole Ski Expedition of 2005.
