A-7 on the USS Kitty Hawk

Gordon Doody was a VA215 Pilot stationed in Lemoore California. I was an avionics technician also stationed in Lemoore California. There was one thing that I noticed about Navy Pilots, they had to train continuously, they had to study daily and they had to perform many other squadron functions like Maintenance Officer, Duty Officer, Legal Officer, Executive Officer. These guys were always busy and the work never ended. Besides performing all of these jobs, the Navy Pilots were the Warriors. They did the fighting when we sat in safety and comfort of our aircraft carriers. These Navy Pilots did it all.
