Click Here you see two men working on a P-47 Thunderbolt engine.A picture of two Airplane Mechanics working on a P47 Thunderbolt Fighter plane engine in World War 2. These P47 engines are large and very complex. You can see how big the propeller is and it takes a powerful engine to turn it. The P47, like all fighters, requires a lot of maintenance which means a lot of highly qualified mechanics and technicians were required to keep these complex airplanes flying. |
